Fc SUSTAINS
Supports students for the two to four years after they graduate high school and complete the FC Delivers program. Students receive guidance and support from Future Chefs staff as they implement their post-secondary plan at an accredited college, university, certificate program, or jobs in any career they choose.
FC Sustains participants serve as peer leaders and volunteers at community and program events. Students exit FC Sustains after two to four years of support and are Future Chefs Alumni, often becoming the high quality employers for the next generation of students.
Who it’s for
FC Delivers graduates transitioning to the next chapter of their life after high school.
What it involves
-Participants commit to two years of mentorship but may continue for up to four years.
-Participants meet monthly (in-person or virtually) with a Future Chefs Student Services team member or mentor to check in on their post-secondary plan.
-Participants maintain consistent communications with Future Chefs over the course of their mentorship.
-Participants stay on track to complete or work towards updating their post-secondary plan.
What is expected
Participants are expected to:
-Attend 80% or more of monthly check-ins.
-Actively communicate with Future Chefs’ staff and mentor.
